Instruments available at Vernon Violins

The following instruments are all available for sale at Vernon Violins, Manchester. Please telephone 0161 865 7438 if you are interested in viewing any of them.

This is a brief cross section of instruments available. We will be adding to this list and developing a permanent link to the comprehensive stock list at the Vernon Violins website in due course.

A number of violins representing the German trade makers from the late 19th early 20th century. Price range £1000 - £1600.

A number of excellent contemporary violins made in the Far East. Price range £700 - £1600.

A number of violins up to £5000.

A number of violins up to £10,000.

A fine Italian violin by Lorenzo and Tomaso Carcassi of Florence. The instrument is labelled and dated 1779 and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from J & A Beares of London.

A fine violin by Guilio Degani of Venice. The instrument bears its original label dated 1904 and is accompanied by a certificate from Peter Biddulph.

A fine French instrument by Joseph Hel of Lille number 125 dated 1885. The instrument bears the makers original inscription and date.
Price £25,000.

A fine French violin by Paul Bailly of Paris whose original label it bears from the 1880s. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity of Bernard Millant.
Price £20,000.

An interesting 18th century Italian violin attributed to the Florentine maker Gaspero Piattelini.
Price £30,000.

An English violin by Benjamin Banks dated 1787. A typical violin by the Salisbury maker.
£18,000.

A mid 19th century English violin by George Craske. A violin wonderfully typical of Craske bearing the W E Hill and Son label.
£10,000.

A Dutch violin by Max Möller dated Amsterdam 1919.
Price £10,000.

A violin by the Italian maker Aldo Zani of Cesna bearing his original label dated 1982. The instrument is accompanied by a certificate from Kenneth Warren and Son of Chicago.
Price £8,500.
